On September 4–6, Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) hosted the 4th Sarajevo Security Conference (SSC 2026) – a key security platform in the Balkan region organized by the New Lines Institute for Strategy and Policy. Under the overarching theme “Securing Europe in a Divided World,” the high-level forum convened leading foreign policy experts, defense officials, and diplomats to address pressing strategic challenges facing the continent.
Johnny G. Melikyan, Head of the Department of International Relations Research at the Information and Public Relations Center (IPRC), participated in the conference as a speaker. He addressed a specialized session co-hosted with the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) titled “Creative Resilience: Lessons in Geopolitical Maneuvering from Europe’s Eastern Frontiers,” alongside colleagues from Eastern Partnership (EaP) states.
In his remarks, the IPRC representative outlined Armenia’s evolving foreign policy strategy, emphasizing the country’s commitment to a “balanced and balancing” approach aimed at mitigating regional imbalances and preventing strategic overdependence.
